RadioKingOnline

RadioKingOnline is an incredible 'urban' Radio station, currently net based and I'm hoping they'll upgrade to FM in the very near future!

I'm currently apart of the team and have been holding the Thursday morning slot, playing the best in HipHop/RnB classics. I also have hosted a few of our live music nights @ Electric social (BRIXTON, SW9).

Check it out:

Below are some of my old shows.... if you listen in chronological order you will hopefully see the growth in my skills.

This has been a great way of developing communication skills, meeting incredible artists and being on the inside of the industry.

As much as I want this radio station to soar I'm a lover of the underground culture.

ICI - OLD PROJECT - 2006 - 2010

In Christ's Image was a christian worship band that started in 2006 co-managed by Christian Dadson and myself!

A bunch of college friends decided to use our musical skills to bless people. We gigged in churches and events throughout London, created and EP and album.

I worked alongside some great musicians, composers, writers this project of which many have gone to do incredible works within the music/entertainment industry.

Since the folding of this project I still occasionally work with churches; teaching, leading worship teams and advising church based artists on the rise.

Day at the Foundry Studio Sheffield.

Spent yesterday in Sheffield, eventually got there after tyre trouble... Recording for Eric Reverence.

Incredible studio, really great team!

Took this on a morning walk

To combat my natural tendency to sleep until lunch time I now have to get up (with help from a friend) 7am and go for a walk.. pray etc.... and I ended up taking these bad boys...

Not bad :-)

The Great Reformation

Absolutely nothing to do with Luther.

This blog has been informally showcasing The CakeGirl Co. but as of May 2014 The CakeGirl Co. will be put to sleep! It has been a great journey and we managed to complete all our essential goals but now as the MA turns into a PhD it is time for me to pursue my career and put my little hustle to sleep (for now).

Below is the previous 'About the blogger page info" just to document it, so you know this blogs original purpose!

From now on the blog will be used as a portfolio for all the projects I had and have been working on, that have shaped me, taught me and built up my experiences as I enter the next phase of my life! My wedding and PhD are on the horizons and with that come many changes!

My name is Eleasah Roberts. I'm 24, from South London and a proud mixed-heritage-ian!

This blog is the behind the scenes of everything that provokes me, inspires me and what creates my events...I have sooo many random plans for CakeGirl which some of my loyal readers will begin to understand as time goes by. I don't care much for business etiquette if it gets in the way of my ideas and dreams... No regrets right? I've got the rest of my life to behave and prosper by conforming (yeah right).

I started The CakeGirl Co. in 2011 with no experience of business, making things up, getting advice from those around me and most of all TRIAL AND ERROR. I love social gatherings and have been throwing house parties for years... I decided while studying my MA in Theology that I'd take the house party culture into the clubs and bring Cake and Custard along with me.

One of life's greatest treasures is Cake and Custard.

I love High Fashion, Hip Hop and R'n'b, Garage, Cake and my first love is dancing.... I've been on a break for two years and 2013 will see my juggling my business, MA and my dance career... Seamlessly of course! (Not)

I've also got an MA in dating, so if you need advice or just want to hear a funny story, please contact me via the blog... I'm always happy to share...(no names though!)

My life is full of the mistakes that take place when people take risks... It's also full of people who don't take risks and think they know it all lol.

I'm proud to say I've spent the last 5 years failing at loads of things and winning at some. What I've won, I treasure and will last a life time... What I've lost I've already forgotten.

We must press on!
Take risks and enjoy learning all that life will teach you. Sometimes you have to start the week with a black eye (a harsh life lesson) in order to never have a black eye Monday again!

So it'll be an interesting journey that will either last 10years or leave a legacy.

Either way, I DID IT.
The CakeGirl Co. are home to some incredible women and this blog is an extension of what we're about!

We are an EVENTS MANAGEMENT and Cake BAKING service! Immersed in the house party culture we fuse MUSIC, FASHION and CAKE to transform any event into an exclusive and memorable experience!!

Our Cake and Custard Parties have become a niche exclusive to the average event, party or club night! Something everyone should experience in their life!

Want to know how it works? Check out our website: www.thecakegirlco.com

Order some CAKE while you're at it!

Smoothies make for good reflection

It takes quite a bit of effort to make a great smoothie... if taste and texture is just as important to you as the health aspect then a little work is required and it makes for good reflection.

This is tonight's smoothie of reflection.

2 mugs pure apple juice
1 mug almond milk
4 apples
2 mangoes
1 lemon
4 kiwis
2 handfuls of spinach leaves
2 bananas

Blended not juiced so you can kinda drink and chew... I know I said smoothie. Leave it.

Tonight I reflect on how good things are made up of lots of small incredible and necessary things... writing this essay on Christianity, white supremacy, conspiracy theories, black power.... can give you a migraine... the ultimate search for TRUTH is not light jog. It's a lifetime commitment... even when you think you've found it, you then have to understand it... and do something with it. Like my smoothie, it has to be juiced, drank (is drank a word?) and then I'll share it, testify about its goodness... feel me?

The breakthrough....

You get to that point when you don't know why you decided to start a business/project.. or even relationship for some.

You're POOR... in finance and in spirit.. everyone gives really unhelpful, mostly well meaning advice and almost certainly someone who thinks they know everything is breathing down your back.

#stress

But you believe in what you started, you see the vision and you press on.... then it happens.... FRUIT!

You feel like you can measure your own success.. somehow... you're satisfied, motivated and empowered.

You still get things wrong, still making it up as you go along.. still getting awful, annoying and well meaning advice.. but you're no longer poor in spirit because HE moved your mountain....

On to the next challenge!

To get to know more about the cafe I've just opened check out it's blog...

Incredible chilled... Great food... Great people.. Great journey!
